We've been offering Slim SEO Schema and Slim SEO Link Manager as separated plugins for a while. Our original plan was releasing more individual plugins for each big feature for SEO, because in our opinion, SEO is not a niche. It's actually a big area and there are a lot of things to do. And keeping each feature in a single plugin helps us to define which one has a higher priority to focus on.
However, while this model worked fine for us, it sometimes confuses users, since they expect seeing a single Pro plugin instead of two. And the consequence is that they either ignore them all (as they don't understand) or buy only one single plugin. That hurts the business financially.
So today, we decide to merge all premium plugins into one single plugin - Slim SEO Pro - to makes it easier and clearer for our users to understand what we offer.
What does Slim SEO Pro offer?
Currently, Slim SEO Pro is a wrapper of 2 premium plugins: Slim SEO Schema and Slim SEO Link Manager. You can use it as a replacement of both plugins. There are no difference in terms of features in the plugins.
By providing a single pro plugin for all premium features, new features will be added to this plugin, no more separated plugins for each big feature. And Slim SEO Pro will continue to grow, in terms of features and functionality.
By new features, we mean that features that are big and separated, unrelated to schema and link manager. Things like integration with Google Search Console or AI. Previously, as our original plan, they should be individual plugins just like Slim SEO Schema or Slim SEO Link Manager. But with Slim SEO Pro, they'll be part of it.
Slim SEO Pro will work independently, similarly to how Slim SEO Schema and Slim SEO Link Manager work. That means it can be used as a single plugin, or use with any other SEO plugins like Slim SEO, Yoast SEO, AIO SEO, Rank Math. There might be some overlaps of functionality as we develop them in the future.
For that reason, we always recommend the combination of Slim SEO free + Slim SEO Pro for all your websites.
What will happen to Slim SEO Schema and Slim SEO Link Manager?
Nothing will happen to them. We'll keep them active and provides all the updates and features to these plugins as needed. All the features related to schema and link manager will be put inside these plugins. We won't block them for Pro users only. So you will still have new features from them.
In short, they're actively developed and are essential parts of Slim SEO Pro.
We'll keep developing all the plugins and won't abandon any of them.
Can I upgrade to Slim SEO Pro?
Yes, absolutely. If you bought Slim SEO Schema or Slim SEO Link Manager subscriptions, please send us a support ticket (under My Account area) to upgrade.
For lifetime users, we honor all existing licenses, and will keep them work for you forever. You are also able to upgrade to the LTD of Slim SEO Pro without paying more (if you bought both LTDs) or pay the difference (if you bought one LTD).
What else?
By releasing Slim SEO Pro, we have to update our pricing structure. You'll see the prices for individual plugins like Slim SEO Schema and Slim SEO Link Manager increase a bit. However, the pricing for Slim SEO Pro is kept affordable as much as possible, while (probably) help us to keep the business sustainable.
